Project billing: milestones
Fixed-scope projects invoice per milestone: 40% upfront, 30% at midpoint, 30% on final delivery. Nothing is invoiced for work not yet delivered and approved.
Staff billing: monthly flat rate
Monthly invoices issued on the 1st. First month invoiced upfront with the signed contract. No platform fees, no employer overhead, no hidden charges.
Scope changes: written sign-off
Any scope addition requires a written change order with a revised cost estimate signed before the additional work begins. No verbal agreements, no surprise invoices.
Contract and NDA: every job
Every engagement, regardless of size, is covered by a company-to-company service agreement, mutual NDA, and full IP assignment to you upon delivery.
Multi-currency invoicing
We invoice in USD by default. AUD, GBP, EUR, and other currencies available on request. All prices shown are exclusive of any local VAT or GST.
No lock-in commitments
Project engagements end at final delivery. Staffing engagements run monthly rolling with one month notice to pause or end. No penalty clauses.

How do you price software development projects?+
Project pricing is based on estimated hours multiplied by our hourly rate (from USD 47/hr depending on role seniority and discipline). We provide a written scope with a fixed price range before any work begins. Not time-and-materials billing that surprises you at the end.
What is included in the dedicated staff monthly rate?+
The monthly rate covers 160 hours of dedicated work per month, all employer costs (payroll, benefits, equipment, facilities) on our side, account manager support, and IP assignment to you under a company contract. There are no platform fees, task caps, or setup charges beyond the first month.
Can I hire someone part-time?+
Yes. Part-time engagements (typically 80 hours/month) are available at approximately half the full-time monthly rate. Casual/hourly engagements are also available for short bursts of work. Minimum engagement is 40 hours/month.
Are there any setup fees or long-term contracts?+
No setup fees. Project engagements are scoped and invoiced per milestone. Dedicated staffing engagements have a recommended minimum of 3 months (for knowledge transfer to be worthwhile), but we can structure monthly rolling agreements if you prefer flexibility.
Do prices include VAT or GST?+
All prices shown are in USD exclusive of any applicable taxes. We invoice as a Pakistan-registered company (CODALYST TECH SMC-PRIVATE LIMITED). Whether VAT/GST applies depends on your jurisdiction. We can invoice in AUD, GBP, EUR, or USD on request.
What happens if the project scope changes mid-build?+
We issue a written change order for any scope addition. Nothing is built outside the agreed scope without your sign-off and a revised cost estimate. Changes that reduce scope are credited against your remaining milestone payments. There are no surprise invoices.
What is the payment schedule for projects?+
Fixed-scope projects are invoiced per milestone: typically 40% upfront, 30% at midpoint, 30% on final delivery. No full prepayment is required, and nothing is invoiced for work that has not been delivered and approved.
Can I run a project and hire dedicated staff at the same time?+
Yes. Many clients begin with a fixed-price project to validate the working relationship, then move dedicated staff onto their account once confident in the output. Both tracks can also run in parallel if you have concurrent needs.
