Codalyst Tech
Web DevelopmentSydney, NSW

Web development company for Sydney businesses

Sydney has no shortage of web agencies. What it has a shortage of is agencies that will put a fixed price and a fixed scope in writing before you commit. Codalyst Tech builds websites and web applications for Sydney businesses under a scoped, fixed-price agreement, delivered by a registered company with a named contact and a written escalation path. We are based in Pakistan and coordinate delivery in Australian hours. Our work for Sydney clients includes a full commercial services site with suburb-level coverage across the south-west.

Local market

The Sydney market, and why local pricing looks the way it does

Sydney carries Australia's highest concentration of technical talent and its highest cost of employing that talent. Senior developer salaries in the Sydney market sit well above the national median, and Sydney agency rates reflect that, along with CBD or inner-suburb overheads that get recovered somewhere in your quote.

The practical effect for a Sydney SME is a gap in the market. Below roughly AUD 25,000, most established Sydney agencies are not interested, because the project does not cover their cost of sale. Above that, you are paying a rate loaded with overheads that have nothing to do with your build. Businesses in that gap end up with one of three outcomes: a template site from a low-cost reseller, a freelancer who disappears mid-project, or a build that quietly runs to twice the quoted price.

Our position is the middle of that gap. Fixed scope, fixed price, written before work starts. If the scope changes, we tell you what it costs before we build it, not after.

Working hours

Working with Sydney hours

Sydney: AEST/AEDT, UTC+10 (UTC+11 during daylight saving)Live overlap: 9:00am to 2:00pm AESTHours per day: 5

Sydney runs AEST (UTC+10) through winter and AEDT (UTC+11) during daylight saving, which begins in October and ends in April. Pakistan Standard Time is UTC+5 year-round and does not observe daylight saving, so the offset shifts by an hour twice a year. The overlap window we work to is 9am to 2pm Sydney time, which is 4am to 9am in Pakistan. Our team is scheduled into that window deliberately. A Sydney client can run a standup at 9am, have questions answered live through the morning, and see the day's work land as an update before they start the next morning. For project work this is more than sufficient. Design reviews, scope conversations and staging walkthroughs all happen inside the live window. You will not wait a day for an answer to a straightforward question.

Industry context

Industries we serve in Sydney

Commercial and trade services

Cleaning contractors, facilities firms, trades and maintenance businesses across Greater Sydney compete on local search across dozens of suburbs. That requires a site architected for service-area coverage rather than a single homepage trying to rank for everything. This is the structure we built for AAP Commercial Cleaners in south-west Sydney: multi-category service pages with suburb-level coverage underneath.

Professional services and legal

The CBD and North Sydney corridor hold a dense concentration of law firms, accounting practices and consultancies. The build requirement is usually about credibility signalling, document-heavy content structures, and confidentiality-appropriate handling of client-facing forms rather than visual ambition. These businesses benefit from clean information architecture and fast, reliable performance.

Health and allied health

Specialist practices, allied health providers and telehealth platforms across the eastern suburbs, inner west and North Shore need booking flows, practitioner profiles, and careful handling of health information. We built exactly this structure for Nutri Diet Hut: nine specialist service pages with integrated booking and evidence-based content positioning throughout.

Case study

AAP Commercial Cleaners, south-west Sydney

A full commercial cleaning website built on Next.js and TypeScript, structured around multi-category service pages with suburb-level coverage for the south-west Sydney service area. The suburb architecture was the point: local service businesses win on service-area search, and that has to be built into the information architecture rather than added later.

Alternative model

Need ongoing capacity rather than a project?

The services above deliver fixed-scope project work. If you need a dedicated developer working alongside your Sydney team on an ongoing monthly basis, the hire-developers model is the right fit.

Frequently asked questions

Do you have an office in Sydney?
No. Codalyst Tech is a registered Pakistani company and we are direct about that. Delivery is coordinated in Australian hours and we work to a Sydney overlap window of 9am to 2pm AEST, but we do not maintain Sydney premises and we do not claim to. If in-person attendance is a requirement for your project, we will tell you upfront that we are not the right fit.
How does the timezone difference affect a Sydney project?
Pakistan is five hours behind Sydney in winter and six during daylight saving. We schedule our team into the Australian morning, giving roughly five hours of live overlap daily. Design reviews, scope calls and staging walkthroughs happen inside that window. Build work continues after your day ends, which means progress typically lands overnight from your perspective.
Can you work with our existing Sydney-based designer or marketing agency?
Yes, and it is a common arrangement. We frequently build to a design supplied by a client's existing agency, and we also work as a white-label delivery partner behind Australian agencies. If you have a designer you like, keep them. We build to their design system and hand the code to you.
What happens if the scope changes mid-build?
We price the change and send it to you before we build it. Fixed-price means the number we agreed does not move unless you agree to move it. Scope changes are normal on real projects and the only thing we insist on is that the cost conversation happens before the work, not in the final invoice.
Who owns the code when the project finishes?
You do, completely. Full IP assignment is written into the service agreement. You receive the source repository with a documented README, plus deployment credentials. There is no proprietary CMS lock-in and no ongoing licence attached to code we write for you.
